Grants
2023/2024 Reducing the Burden of Oral Disesase
The ARDF recognises the limited funding available to address the burden of dental disease as presented in the Australian Dental Journal paper by A Ghanbarzadegan, S Ivanovski, AJ Sloan, H Spallek 68(1):42-47.
Grants will be used to support investigations and research carried out within Australia by the person or persons specified in each award.
This grant round requirements are:
- Applicants must be enrolled as Higher Degree by Research students at the time of application.
- The Research team must include an Early Career Researcher (ECR) and a Senior Researcher.
- Involvement of a student (undergraduate or postgraduate) will be considered favourably in grant application reviews.
- The application must clearly address how the project will reduce the burden of dental disease.
Grants will be used to support investigations and research carried out within Australia by the person or persons specified in each award.
Up to 15-20 grants of $20,000 each will be available, and the term of the agreement is for twelve months with a mutually agreed commencement date.
- dental research which translates to better patient care and overall community health, particularly where it is needed most, and
- dental innovation on the pathway from laboratory to the marketplace, generating business opportunities, creating jobs and positioning dental research as a significant economic driver.
